The Environmental Studies Program offers students the opportunity to study how humans should relate to the natural world, a subject that has become increasingly relevant as more people begin paying attention to the Earth’s limited resources and our own impact on those resources. Degree programs include:

In addition, students in other disciplines can choose to minor in environmental studies. The environmental studies curriculum is interdisciplinary in nature and consists of courses in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, law and business.

Research opportunities, supervised internships with national and international environmental organizations and study abroad opportunities in Denmark, Costa Rica, Kenya, Baja Mexico, Australia and Turks and Caicos that focus specifically on ecology prepare students well for careers and graduate study in environmental studies.
